Part 3 of the Monks trilogy, this is set six months after the events of ‘The Pyramid At The End Of The World’.

The Monks have taken credit for evolution, all human achievement and all of the Doctor’s achievements. The Doctor himself is on TV, spouting propaganda for the Monks. Crowds of people watch TV cheering the Monks implementing what is called, but almost certainly isn’t, a “quick and painless” death to dissenters. The Monks have also placed gigantic, imposing statues of themselves all over the world.

Doctor Who – ‘The Pyramid At The End Of The World’

Series 10, Episode 7

CONTAINS SPOILERS

The Secretary-General of the United Nations comes to Bill’s flat (just another day for a companion of The Doctor), and tells her they have to meet the Doctor. At  times of extreme crisis, the Doctor is considered President of Earth!

They travel to Turmezistan, a disputed area where three of the world’s superpowers have armies stationed there, from China, the USA and Russia. In the centre is a 5,000 year old Pyramid…. which wasn’t at the location yesterday!

Doctor Who – ‘Knock Knock’

Series 10, Episode 4

Yes, I know I’m quite a few weeks behind with the Doctor Who reviews, I’ll get them written and posted as soon as I can.

Bill and five of her student friends are looking for a house to rent. After some comical scenes where an estate agent shows them a tiny house that looks suspiciously like a converted shed and a property that is right next door to a power plant, a sinister landlord (David Suchet) approaches them and says he has a house they could rent.

It is very big, and the landlord charges very cheap rent. He does however say the tower in the house is out of bounds as it isn’t safe. The students sign the contract, but Bill reckons there must be a catch. Yes there is, and a very deadly one.
